The Government of the Republic of Korea calls to your attention the Statement: "Full Facts of the Duplicity of the Japanese Government in their Proposals to Deport Korean Residents in Japan to Communist Northern Korea ", dated 16th July, 1959, which was forwarded to you last week. A press release based on the Statement is enclosed herewith.
This issue is a highly important one involving the peace and security of Northeast Asia, and, therefore, of consequence to this country.
My Government expresses the hope that you find the time to examine the document and take cognizance of the position.
We are firmly convinced that once the peoples of the Free World come to understand the facts, they will join with us in protesting against the attempt to deport Korean citizens to Communist slavery.
