Regarding FTB-365.
Pursuant to item one of the cable under reference, I together with Delegate Yu again strongly requested Asian Affairs Director Iseki at the meeting held at Kayukaikan this afternoon (December 29) to replace the word "timing" by the words "procedures and so forth". As the Japanese stiff stand remained unchanged in this connection, our side proposed that the interpretation of the words "procedures and so forth" as instructed be recorded in a separate minutes of the residents problem Committee. However, Iseki pointed out that his proposal containing the same substance had been rejected by the Finance Ministry and said that he was unable to bring the rejected proposal again to the Finance Ministry.
