TO : His Excellency the President
FROM :Vice-Foreign Minister
SUBJECT : Dispatching two members of the Delegation to the 4th Korea-Japan Conference: Messrs. LEE Sang Duk and YU Chang Soon
At the fourth Korea-Japan Conference, our side proposed to the Japanese side to open discussion on our major claims against Japan (return of gold bullions, etc.) at the Sub-Committee on Claims on and from November 17, 1958, and the Japanese side agreed to our proposal.
Therefore, it is necessary for Messrs. LEE Sang Duk and YU Chang Soon, members of the Bank of Korea, who are members of the Delegation to represent our side at the said Sub-Committee, to join the Delegation in Tokyo. If Your Excellency approve it, the Ministry shall instruct them to leave for the conference site on or around Saturday, November 15, 1958.
Travelling expenses for Messrs. Lee and Yu will be paid by the Bank of Korea.
