3. Gist of Talks:
Mr. Shoji:
I suppose that you have received the report of the talks between Mr. Takano for our side and Mr. Choi for your side conducted concerning how to handle the problem on "Art objects". I would like to have Mr. Takano report here on the result of the talks for our side, if you agree.
Mr. Lee:
No objection.
Mr. Takano:
The "Art objects" will be discussed at the Sub-committee on Claims with Mr. Osamu ITAGAKI as a Chief Member of Japanese side while other agenda items of the Sub-committee on Claims would be discussed in the presence of Mr. Shoji as a Chief Member.
Mr. Lee:
Since Mr. Choi conducted talks with Mr. Takano on this matter, he will present us his report for our side.
Mr. Shoji:
No objection.
Kr. Choi:
After Mr. Takano and I were appointed at the previous meeting of this Committee to adjust view of both sides on the question concerning the proceeding of the discussion of ^Art objects., we started discussions on the matter from 03:30 p.m. May 27, 1958 (Tuesday) with the attending of Mr. Chin for our side and Mr. Suganuma for the Japanese side. As the result of the talks, both sides agreed that the "Art objects" be discussed at the Sub-committee on Claim with Mr. Yiu heading the Korean members, while Mr. Lee will lead the Korean members in the discussion of other agenda items of the Sub-committee.
Mr. Lee:
Since the representatives of both sides presented the points of their arrangement, I think we had better confirm the reports submitted by them. Tor us, I confirm Mr. Takano's report.
Mr. Shoji,
I confirm Mr. Choi's, too.
Mr. Ttagaki made self-introduction to the Korean side, saying that he would lead the Japanese side of the Sub-committee on Claims when it deals with "Art objects."
Mr. Shoji:
How would it be to set the date for the first meeting of the Sub-committee so Vessels on June 6, 1958 (Friday) at 03:00 p.m.
Mr. Lee:
No objection. And, how about setting the date for the meeting of Sub-committee on Claims on June 4, 1958 (Wednesday), to take up "Art objects" first?
Mr. Shoji:
No objection. The time and place of the meeting are to be at 03:00 p.m., and Room 411 respectively.
Mr. Lee:
No objection.
