NOTE VERBALE
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Presents its compliments to the Korean Mission in Japan and has the honor to notify the Mission as follows:
The Japanese Government retracts the statement made by the delegate Kinichiro Kubota on , 1953, aganist which the Korean delegation protested.
Further, the Japanese Government, on the basis of the "Statement of U.S. Position on Interpretation of Article 4 of the Japanese Peace Treaty with repect to Korea-Japanese Claims Settlement", hereby withdraw the claim to property in Korea made by the Japanese delegation at the Korea-Japan Conferance on March 6, 1952. This in no way relates to Korean claims againist Japan and Japanese nationals which are to be considered as an entirely separate matter.
