일본의 북송계획에 대한 미 상원의원의 서한

Committee on Appropriation
August 7, 1959
Mr. William Loeb Pride's Crossing Massachseette
Dear Bill:
Just the other day I recieved a letter from the Korean Ambassador, You Chan Yang, soliciting my help. It seams that the Japanese have opened negotiations at Geneva to forcibly deport Koreans, who were originally appropriated by them for forced Labor prior to and during World War II. The difficulty arises out of the fact that they are planning to depart most of them to North Korea, where they will, of course, fall into Communist hands. This seems like most unjust and inhumane treatment, and I was happy to write the Korean Ambassador expressing my willingness to help. A copy of my letter to his is attached.
I am writing to Jim Finnegan today on this same matter.
