RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE ON VESSELS
The 20th meeting of the "Committee on Vessels" was held on December 13, 1951 at the Japanese Ministry of Transportation office.
In respect to the additional list submitted by the Korean side at the previous meeting, the Japanese side asked the former a question about on what base the list was prepared. To this question answered the Korean side, "As specified in our additional list, we have picked up some vessels which were registered once in Korea by August 9, 1945 and were presently presumably located in Japanese waters whose registry were not transferred to Japan by the same date."
Next, in respect of the vessels included in the additional list, the Japanese side stated that they had ordered the respective local government agency concerned to conduct close investigations into such vessels, but could not make a clear explanation as all of investigation resulte were not obtained, revealing the status of vessels known to Japanese side according to the investigations up to the day.
Stating that the Korean side had an information to the effect that the 3 vessels of Seiun Maru, Senkai Maru and Taishin Maru are now located in the Japanese territorial waters, they requested the other side to investigate their actual whereabouts.
