With regard to the Statement of U.S. Position on Interpretation of Article 4 of the Japanese Peace Treaty with Respect to Korean-Japanese Claims Settlement dated December 31, 1957, it is understood that this document will not be released for publication for the time being, and if and when either Government deems it necessary to release the said Statement in future consultation will be made.
