More than sixty thousand Korean citizens have already returned to their fatherland in accordance with the return home agreement for the Korean citizens in Japan concluded between Red Cross Sociaties of Korea and Japan, and they aro leading a new, happy life in the bosom of their fatherland.
And it is a well known fact that there are still no small number of the Korean citizens in Japan who wish to return home and they are expressing their desire to return home.
As your society admits, it is obvious that the return home operation can not be completed within the term of the agreement.
With this fact in view, our society proposes that the term of the return home agreement for the Korean citizens in Japan concluded between Red Cross societies of Korea and Japan be extended for another year in accordance with article nine of the return home agreement.
