Record of the Proceedings of the Committee on Vessels
The 16th meeting of the "Committee on Vessels" was held on December 6, 1951 at the Ministry of Transportation office.
In succession to the last meeting, additional questions and answers were made in respect to the explanation by the Korean side about the purport of proposition of agenda (b).
Next, the Korean side made the following proposition:
At this meeting we want to close temporarily the discussion of the questions on agenda (b), and return to the discussion of agenda (a). According to our investigation into the List of 19 vessels" presented by the Japanese side which are deemed to have been registered in Korea as of August 9, 1945, it has been confirmed by us that all of the said vessels had been registered in Korea as of August 9, 1945. As the Korean side knows the fact that there were a good many Korean-registered vessels in addition to the vessels specified in the list, their names will be submitted in a counter list for the Japanese side's list.
In respect to the said 19 vessels, however, which are not objects of dispute between the both countries in the respect that they were registered in Korea as of August 9, 1945, we should like to ask you to decide when and under what conditions they will be able to be delivered. If there are any reasons making their delivery difficult, please explain is about them."
