MEMORANDUM FOR: Civil Property Custodian, Reputations agency, Japanese Government, Tokyo, Japan.
SUBJECT: Return of Cargo Vessels to the Korean all steamship Co.
1. Reference is made to:
a. Memorandum for the Japanese Government, file AG ■95(8 Jan. 49) CPC FP, SCAPIN 7 ■■ a, 16 December 1949, subject, same as above, from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers.

2. Title to the five vessels referred to in paragraph Ib above presently losts with the Tokyo Branch of the Korean Mail Steamship Co., but in appliance with reference in above will be transferred to the authorized compress for their return to Japan at this time. Settlement of the claim to these vessels is subject to ultimate determination by treaty or otherwise between Japan and Korea.
3, The exchange of vessels between the Japanese Government and the Korean Mail Steamship Co. Branch in Japan will be settled when title to the five vessels is transferred to the Japanese Government and the following four vessels are delivered to the Korean Mail Steamship Co. branch in Japan.

These vessels should be delivered in operable condition by 1 March 1950.
