Regarding Comments of the American Ambassador at Kyung Mu Dai on 20 March 1957
1. Renunciation of all Japanese property claims in Korea.
2. Withdrawal of the Kubota statement.
3. Return of Korean art treasures in possession of Japan.
4. Agreement to discuss and settle all outstanding questions in accordance with an agreed agenda.
5. Agreement on a date for the resumption of the discussions.
6. Simultaneous release of Korean detainees in the Omura camp with understanding that they will not be rearrested pending agreement with the Korean Government on the status and treatment of the Korean residents in Japan, and at the same time release of the Japanese fishermen who have finished prison terms in Korea.
Note : Upon completion of presentation and exchange of all the documents concerned, namely, (1) Japanese Note Verbale for both withdrawal of its property claims and retraction of Kubota statement, (2) Japanese notification to return Korean art treasures, (3) memorandum and attached understanding for detainee issue and (4) agreed minutes concerning the agenda to be discussed at the formal conference, simultaneous announcement on the contents of the above documents shall be made by both parties either jointly or separately.
