DR. SAWADA:
Shall we confirm the summary records of the seventh and eighth plenary sessions of the Fourth Korea-Japan Overall Talks?
(Here, Mr. Choi, Korean officer responsible for drafting the summary record, read the texts of seventh and eighth plenary sessions. Mr. Okuma, Jspanese officer responsible for drafting the summary record, also read the texts of the seventh and eighth plenary sessions.)
DR. SAWADA:
I confirmed the summary records of seventh and eighth plenary sessions.
MR. LIMB:
Yes, they are confirmed.
MR. LIMB:
In-asmuch as we came to conclusion that the works of the committees on Korean Claims and on Legal Status of Korean Residents in Japan would start first, I consider it proper to make arrangements for actual starting of these two committees.
Furthermore, one month has already elapsed since the opening of the Fourth Korea-Japan Overall Talks. Therefore, it is time tar both sides to get down to actual works of the committees. I would like to propose that the schedule for the first meeting of the two committees be decided here now.
DR. SAWADA:
I understand that it was agreed that the date for the first meetings of the two committees would be left over to the respective chief members of both sides.
MR. LIMB:
As we have a priviledge of discussing the matter at this table, how about deciding it here now?
