Instructions on the Proceedings of Other Claims Committee
1. Agenda Adoption
The following 6 agenda items shall be proposed by our delegation:
(1) The gold and silver taken away from Korea
(2) The obligations and debts of the Government of Japan to the Government-General of Chosun as of August 9, 1945.
(3) The monetary accounts transferred or remitted from Korea on and or since August 9, 1945.
(4) The properties in Japan of the juridical persons with head offices in Korea as of August 9, 1945.
(5) The national or public bonds and the Bank of Japan notes or other currencies, issued by the Japanese authorities, in possession of Korean nationals and or juridical persons, the Japanese obligations to the conscripted Korean laborers including the Japanese compensations for damage occurred to the military personal and other claims of Korean nationals or its juridical persons to the Government of Japan and or her nationals.
(6) The legality of the Korean natural and or juridical persons' ownership of the shares or other securities issued by Japanese juridical persons.
In the course of discussions on agenda adoption, our delegation will have opportunities to sound out what Japanese side has in mind on the question of "other claims".
2. After agenda adoption, discussions shall be made item by item. Before proceeding to next item, each item shall be satisfactorily settled.
3. In the course of discussions on each item, overall figures or amount of our claims on each item shall not be exposed to Japanese side, at least at present stage but only the figures or amount of each sub-item shall be presented. When it is considered preferable in the judgement of our delegation to request Japanese side to present figures, amount or materials first, our delegation may do so.
4. The figures and amount of our claims on each item will be sent later.
5. Our delegation shall submit recommendations, if any, on the proceedings of this Committee.
