Re Woimubu cable FTB-119.
According toward Japanese newspapers of this morning the Japanese Foreign Minister Fujiyama said to the press in the afternoon of August 4 to the following affest : "there is no particular change in Japan 's policy concerning the resumption of the Korea-Japan talks. However, it might be necessary to reconsider the problem of Korean art objects according to the proceeding of the talks. When the overall talks would not be smoothly resumed, sending to Korea of a party leader may be considered." However, I am not informed of the reported remarks of Mr. Fujiyama and the authenticity thereof is not available now. I will find out the facts about the above press report when I meet with a leader of Japan's ruling party tonight.
