We would like to exchange the list of members of each committee established the other day. The Japanese side is ready now. How about the Korean side?

MR. LIMB:
As to the proceedings of committee, I would like to propose that the following two committees start first. They are (1) Committee on Korean Claims, and (2) Committee on Legal Statue of the Korean Residents in Japan. Since these two issues had been discussed thoroughly in the previous conferences, and are likely and easily to reach an agreement, I made this proposal. For these reasons I mentioned above, I would like to have these two committees start for discussion first.
As to the proceedings of committee, I would like to propose that the following two committees start first. They are (1) Committee on Korean Claims, and (2) Committee on Legal Statue of the Korean Residents in Japan. Since these two issues had been discussed thoroughly in the previous conferences, and are likely and easily to reach an agreement, I made this proposal. The main difference between our two delegations is that the Korean side would like to take up the problem of Korean residents in Japan together with the issues of vessels and art object at the same time, while the Japanese side maintained that the problem of Korean residents in Japan should be taken up for discussion first and exclusively.
