SUBJECT :Status of some members of our Delegation to the Korea-Japan Talks
Our Delegation to the Korea-Japan Talks was composed of Chief Delegate, Alternate Chief Delegate, Delegates and Members of Delegation. Messrs. EA Chai Hang, CHIN Pil Shik, CHEE Chull Keun, LEE Sang Duck, YU Chang Soon and WHANG Soo Young attended the meetings in the capacity of mere "Member" of the Delegation.
Although there has been no substantial difficulty on the part of our Delegation in conducting negotiations, it would still be more advantageous to our side if these six persons be appointed as "Alternate Delegates" as it would result in enhancing the prestige and dignity of our Delegation. (On the Japanese Delegation, officials of Counsellor's rank or Bureau Director's rank were attending the conference in the capacity of "Alternate Delegate.")
If this recommendation meets with His Excellency's approval, the above-mentioned six persons will be appointed as Alternate Delegates of our Delegation to the Korea-Japan Talks.
