Summary Record of the Sixth Session of the Claims Committee
1. Date, time and place:
March 10, 1952, 15:20 hours-16:30 hours
At Room No. 419, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
2. Conferees:
All Committee-members of both Delegations, except Mr. Ishida, Mr. Ushiroku and Mr. Kim, were present. Mr. Dongjo Kim, member of Korean Delegation, Fisheries Committee was present as an observer.
3. Proceedings:
(1) Japanese side asked for having questions and answers on its proposal, but the Korean side viewed its difference on the Japanese proposal and gist of explanation thereon as per annex.
(2) After ten minutes’ recess in response to the request of the Japanese side, the meeting was reopened at 15:45 hours.
(3) Japanese side stated that it would be proper to have questions and answers in detail on its proposal, but Korean side replied that it would be unnecessary to do so, because there was a fundamental difference in the legal assertions of both sides.
(4) It was decided, as a tentative schedule, that the next (seventh) session of this Committee be convened from 10:00 hours, March 14th (Friday), 1952 at the same conference room.
