According to unconfirmed information from U.S. sources, the Korean Government will issue on November 25th or November 26th a statement to the effect that those Japanese fishermen who fire under detention in Pusan after completion of their sentences will be released. Although I don't think the information grounded, I am reporting on this just for reference.
I, as Ambassador in Japan, am strongly of the opinion that it is not the time for release of Japanese fishermen. I would like to state again that the Japanese fishermen should not be released at this time.
