The 22nd session of THE COMMITTEE ON the problems of Korean Residents in Japan was held at Japanese Foreign Ministry for 45 minutes from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. on Nov. 2nd. At the meeting, following the representation of its view at the previous meeting on the problem of mass repatriation of Korean Residents in Japan to ROK Japanese side presented its views on the problem of Korean Residents in Japan who would continuously stay in Japan. With respect to the permanent residence and the deportation criteria, Japanese side stated it would relax for Korean Residents in Japan. The deportation criteria which are being applied to aliens in general for some years after the first coming into force of the contemplated agreement. It is agreed that date for the next session would be set later through the contact of the officials concerned of the both side.
