Amb. LIMB:
Yes, Mr. Chang has a fine prestige. I believe that, in carrying out the conversation concerning the Committee on Fisheries and "Peace Line," you will find him very cooperative in every way. Regarding the opening of various committee meetings, do you have any suggestion on when to open committee meetings?
Dr. SAWADA:
I have no objection to opening the meeting on the Committee on Fisheries and "peace Line" tomorrow.
Amb. LIMB:
It would be agreeable, but how about opening other committee meetings? I would like to suggest that Subcommittee on other Claims --matters regarding Korean art objects-- be held on October 4 (Saturday), that Committee on Legal Status of Korean Residents in Japan be held on October 6 (Monday), and that Subcommittee on Vessels be held sometime next week, probably on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Dr. SAWADA:
It will be all right in principle. But, it would be a little difficult for the Japanese side to set the dates for opening various committee meetings now, as some of Delegates should attend the Diet, How about arranging dates for resuming various committee meetings among respective chief members of various committees of both sides?
Amb. LIMB:
The, I would like to suggest that the dates for opening all committee meetings including Committee meeting on Fisheries and "Peace Line" be decided by the chief members of various committees of both sides.
Dr. SAWADA:
You didn't mention when to open Korean Claims Committee, did you?
Amb. LIMB:
I understand that the committee on Korean Claims is divided into two Sub-committees: One is Subcommittee on Vessels; the other, Other Claims Subcommittee -- matters regarding art objects and others.
Amb. LIMB:
How about the press release concerning today's Plenary Session? How about following the same procedure?
Dr. SAWADA:
No objection.
(Here, after the adjournment of the Plenary Session, both Mr. Choi and Mr. Okuma met, At their meeting, it was agreed that no joint press release in particular would be made concerning today's meeting.)
