AGREED MINUTES
On the agenda of the general talks to be resumed between Japan and Korea will be the same five items that were discussed at the firat, second and third conferences. The problems included in the five major items to be discussed and settled at the general talks are as follows:
I. Basic Relations
1) Confirmation of the fact that treaties and agreements concluded in or before 1910 are null and void.
2) Agreement with respect to sovereign rights and non-intervention.
II. Status and Treatment of Korean Residents
1) Status of Korean Residents in Japan
2) Property rights acquired by Korean residents.
3) Properties to be taken by repatriating Koreans.
III. Property Rights and Claims.
1) Return of Korea's national treasures such as ancient books, art works, antique pieces and map-plates, gold and silver bullions which were taken away to Japan.
2) Payment of Japanese Government's debts owed the former Chosen Government-General as of 9 August 1945.
3) Return of all funds transferred or remitted from Korea to Japan on or after 9 August 1945.
4) Return of properties located in Japan of juridical persons whose head offices or main offices are in Korea.
5) Payment of all national or public bonds, notes of Bank of Japan, unpaid salaries or obligations to Korean labor-draftees, compensation for damages and casualties caused to Koreans in service with the Japanese military forces and payment for other claims possessed by or due to Korean juridical or other persons.
6) Recognition of ownership of shares or other securities held by Korean juridical or other persons.
7) Return of vessels registered in Korea as of 9 August 1945 and located in Japanese waters thereafter and return of those vessels which were in Korean waters as of 9 August 1945 and found in Japanese waters thereafter.
8) Return of properties carried away from Korea on or after 9 August 1945 by Japanese repatriates.
9) Return of all profits, etc. as have been or will have been yielded from the above-mentioned properties of claims.
IV. Peace Line and Fishery Problems.
1) Peace Line
2) Conclusion of a fishery agreement to provide measures for preventing fishing disputes and preserving fishery resources.
