These are detailed views of the figures in the top frame of the Seven-Treasure Ceremony on the eastern wall of the main chamber in Tokhung-ri Tomb.
These figures can be seen in the center of the bottom frame. Although inscriptions exist for these figures, the severe deterioration has made the writing illegible. Judging by the bowls of food in their hands, however, these figures are estimated to be assigned with the task of transporting food offerings for Buddha. The food was prepared by the chefs in the upper frame. The offering bowls were finished in black lacquer.
Interestingly, these figures are wearing civil servant Chaeks (Headwear worn by civil servants and military attachés. Civil servants wore Chaeks with tops that were split in the back and curving forward. Military attachés wore Chaeks with cone-shaped points.). Thus, these men are not valets but of high social status.
