This is the depiction of music and dance on the eastern wall of the main chamber in Anak Tomb No. 3. Although the image is faint, a figure that appears to be of someone from the Western Regions (Generally refers to areas to the west of China) clapping and dancing on the right side of the mural. This type of dance is known as Hoseonmu. Although a three-member band is depicted on the left side, the deterioration is so severe that the exact features of the figures cannot be discerned. The right-most figure is in the best condition, and the faint remains of a musician playing a long Piri (bamboo oboe) can be distinguished. Sketches that were created during the initial excavation of Anak Tomb No. 3 reveal a Bipa (lute) player in the center and a Beomungo (zither) player to the left. This image may be indicative of the noble couple's affluent lifestyle in which they were able to experience exotic foreign cultures.
