Title | Southern Wall of the Antechamber (Eastern Section) - Detailed View of the Military Attachés | ||
---|---|---|---|
This is the honor guard procession depicted on the eastern side of the southern antechamber wall near the tomb entrance. The procession is comprised of seven civil servants and military attachés, and these figures would have been the first to greet the deceased as he entered the tomb. The four figures wearing long Durumagis (traditional Korean overcoat) are civil servants, and the remaining three figures in short Jeogoris (traditional Korean upper garment) are military attachés. Although the hierarchical positions of these figures can be discerned through their attire, their official hats and possessions are the true indicators.
