Title | Horse and Valet | ||
---|---|---|---|
This is a detailed view of the horse and valet depicted in the portrait on the northern wall of the main chamber in Tokhung-ri Tomb. Six valets can be seen above and below the horse and valet to the left of the pavilion. All of the figures are depicted without any overlap. All valets are wearing military attaché Chaeks with pointed tops, indicating that they are guarding the Provincial Governor. The valets are wearing Jeogoris (traditional Korean upper garment) and form-fitting trousers. The horse depicted between the valets is intended for the Provincial Governor Jin.
