Title | Southern Wall of the Northern Gallery | ||
---|---|---|---|
This is a detailed view of the palace depicted on the southern wall of the northern gallery in Anak Tomb No. 3. Two overlapping, tower-like structures can be seen in the image. Both ends of the roof ridge feature Chimi (literally "owl tail" and known as Chiwei in Chinese) decorations, and a glimpse of a structural beam can be seen in the building in the rear. The buildings are closed off from the outside with a fence. This image is regarded as a valuable resource for understanding Koguryo-era architecture.
