This is a detailed view of the ox carriage and maid depicted in the portrait on the northern wall of the main chamber in Tokhung-ri Tomb. Nine maids and two valets driving an ox carriage are depicted to the right of the pavilion. Some maids have their hair tied up in a bun indicating that they are married, while others are wearing split pigtails indicating that they are unwed. They are all wearing long Jeogoris (traditional Korean upper garment) and creased skirts. Notably, the two married maids are wearing wide, multi-color creased skirts, while the unmarried maids are wearing narrow, monochrome creased skirts. The maids are all carrying objects in their hands.
In the center, two valets are driving an ox carriage, and a young maid is following. Similar to the unwed maids, the valets are wearing split pigtail hairstyles, indicating that they are young bachelors. The large eyes and sharp horns of the yellowish brown ox have been well-expressed.
