This is a detailed view of the first horse carriage in the procession on the eastern wall of the antechamber in Tokhung-ri Tomb. The carriage features curtains, and its sunshade (used by nobles in ancient times for sun protection, similar to a modern-day parasol) is elegantly decorated with tassels. A figure dressed in a black robe with a civil servant Chaek (headwear with top split in the back and curving forward) can be seen sitting in the carriage, and a coachman is holding the reins and driving the carriage. The simple U-shaped carriage is reminiscent of a folding screen. The inscription in front of the carriage reads "Royal Courier," indicating the passenger’s status. Another civil servant as well as a swordsman can be seen directly behind the carriage. The Youzhou Provincial Governor Jin can be seen behind these figures. The horse pulling the carriage is known as a Heuktoma (black stallion).
