Title | Northern Wall of the Eastern Auxiliary Chamber | ||
---|---|---|---|
This mural is depicted on the northern wall of the eastern auxiliary chamber in Anak Tomb No. 3. This scene features two women drawing water from a well. Various water jugs and a trough can be seen scattered around the well. As evidenced by the apparatus seen on the left side of the mural, water was efficiently drawn from wells using the principle of leverage rather than by hand. This image provides viewers with valuable insight to how water wells were operated in the Koguryo era.
